Last week i went to a park which is near to my house. There i saw three children who were ready to go for a speed boat drive. The interesting thing is that these kids have got an age group ranging from below 15. I was anxious about the kids safety. For god sake they were fine. Parents should take more care and attention regarding these type of activities. They should accompany with them when they are going to park, beach or anywhere for their safety side.

Like Cthomp and Coon said "We were responsible 12 year olds and didn't want to loose the privelage"...

From the time I hit 7th grade (12?) and until I got old enough to notice girls were gettin interesting--curvey and all--I was campin, fishin, huntin every weekend. My parents wouldn't see me from friday evening until I was supposed to show up for Church Sunday mornin and there'd be hell to pay if I didn't make 10:00 O'Clock Mass!

I'm thinkin those boys and parents were awful damn lucky havin adult supervision via 'Kuuipo' and 'sam'. Things are different now, My kids can shoot straight (bow and gun), paddle a canoe and kayak--make camp and do other stuff. I'm just gettin really fatigued about haulin my tired-azz out to do it with-em every time--cuz I don't trust the other folks they might encounter whom I -don't- know....

I really don't have any idea if the kids could swim or not, nor do I know their ages.

Yes, it is a salt water canal and there are quite a few boats coming and going all the time.

What amazed me is that the adults seemed to be too busy with their party to pay any attention to the kids. As long as the kids weren't bothering them, that was good.

Made me think back to when I was a kid and all the adult supervision I had from either one or both of my parents.
